Global Network
The IELTS test is available at over 1,600 locations in more than 140 countries worldwide. Tests are administered by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English. Each centre offers different test dates and formats (paper or computer).
Paper vs. Computer-Delivered
Paper-based tests are the traditional format with test sessions typically available 4 times a month. Computer-delivered tests are available almost every day at many locations, and you receive your results in 3–5 days instead of 13 days. Both formats have the same content, scoring, and level of difficulty.
How to Search
Visit the official IELTS website (ielts.org) and use the test centre search tool. Enter your city or country, select your preferred test type (General Training), and choose your date. You'll see a list of available centres with addresses, contact details, and available dates.
What to Consider
When choosing a test centre, consider: proximity to your location, availability of your preferred format (paper or computer), test date availability, and whether the centre offers special arrangements if needed. Some centres may have longer waiting times than others.
