Reschedule or Cancel an IELTS Test
Important information about changing your test date or cancelling your IELTS registration.
Rescheduling Your Test
If you need to change your IELTS test date, you must contact your test centre at least 5 weeks before the scheduled date. A transfer fee may apply, and the new date is subject to availability. If you miss the deadline, you may not be eligible for a transfer and could lose your test fee.
Cancelling Your Test
Cancellations made more than 5 weeks before the test date are eligible for a partial refund (typically 75% of the test fee). Cancellations made within 5 weeks of the test date are not refundable unless supported by medical evidence or exceptional circumstances.
Medical Circumstances
If you cannot attend the test due to medical reasons, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund regardless of the cancellation period. You must provide an official medical certificate within 5 days of the test date. Contact your test centre directly for specific procedures.
No-Show Policy
If you do not attend on the day of the test without prior notice, you will not receive a refund. It is strongly recommended that you contact the test centre as early as possible if you know you cannot attend.
Key Tips
